Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a designer with strong focus on design execution and a demonstrated ability to translate complex information and insights into clear and compelling visual narratives.

As the Presentation Designer, you will work collaboratively with researchers and writers on the Retail Intelligence team, which plays a key role in supporting thought leadership within the business. Under the leadership and guidance of the Director, Retail Insights, the Retail Intelligence team is responsible for providing research and insights that contribute to the strategic foundation of our design solutions, developing industry perspectives and points of view, and promoting Perennial as thought leaders. As a member of the Retail Intelligence team, you will develop the design and layout of a variety of content, including eBlasts, presentations, articles, white papers, reports and other content as required.

Our ideal candidate understands the value of visual storytelling in connecting with a variety of business audiences, and has experience designing static and interactive presentations as well as online content and digital marketing elements. The individual is capable of working both with a team as well as independently when required, and will have an outgoing, professional and friendly disposition with the ability to work with a range of personalities. A keen attention to detail, the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize workload according to deadlines and respond to changing priorities, as well as the focus to take ownership of a project and see it through to the end are also crucial.


Essential duties and responsibilities 

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to conceptualize and develop visual narratives for a broad range of client-facing materials, including thought leadership articles, trends and insights reports, presentation content, white papers, etc.

• Ability to articulate design decisions and rationale

• Ability to apply brand standards/guidelines to develop new materials and maintain a consistent look and feel across materials

• Assist the marketing team/Perennial Group of Companies in the development of sales materials, presentations and collateral materials, as required


Key competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design

• 1 -2 years experience as a graphic designer/presentation designer

• Strong portfolio of visual, interactive and graphic design demonstrating your presentation design skills

• Proficiency in PowerPoint, InDesign, Keynote, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (WordPress competency is an added bonus)

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Ability to work collaboratively

• Attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality work

• Effective time management to balance multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
