Canadian Tire is a Canadian icon. It even has its own currency. Our brief was to design four new stores that showcased the very best of this retail giant. We needed a solution that set Canadian Tire apart from its competitors, increased its appeal to women, and improved its relevance to today's busy family.

 
WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?

We set out to prove that big can also be beautiful, with a creative solution as practical as it was appealing. We grouped Canadian Tire's unique product mix in cornerstone categories, making everything easier to navigate. We added active language to each store region, with new "Driving", "Playing", "Fixing", and "Living" concepts bringing real energy to signage. Innovative and striking design cues like warmer exterior colour schemes and skylights added a more welcoming, natural feel, while our indoor and outdoor marketplace concepts lent themselves nicely to seasonal displays and product showcases. All making for a more inspirational environment and an impact that wasn't just about sheer size.
