A Roadside Restaurant
in Full Bloom

TURNING OVER A NEW LEAF

With a budding idea for a truly landmark destination, Irving asked us to help make their Monterégie roadside restaurant a modern-day oasis that would serve travellers and locals alike. They wanted something that would give a welcome break to those on the road and become a preferred choice for those who lived nearby. All this while planting the restaurant among existing retail and fast foods offerings, and staying rooted in the farming history of the surrounding region.

SPRINGING INTO LIFE

We designed the identity and restaurant around the Tournesol (French for "sunflower") motif, playing on Monterégie's culture of cultivation. Using wood and stone, we built a warm and authentic farmhouse atmosphere, blending traditional materials with modern convenience. The end result created a unique and charming architecture for three distinct customer groups - long-distance truck drivers, regular travellers, and locals. Needless to say, business was soon blossoming.
