When it comes to bakery retail, Weston Bakeries takes the cake as Canada's market leader. Their aptitude with a rolling pin and industry experience made them the perfect candidate to introduce a thaw and serve bakery offer to discount grocery chain No Frills. Given Perennial's expertise in building winning vendor programs, Weston engaged us to develop an intuitive fixturing and packaging solution that would make stocking and selling product easy as pie.

 
A FULLY BAKED IDEA

The first ingredient in our retail-ready system was a design for boxes with removable tops that made the transfer from delivery truck to selling floor seamless and quick.     Next we added a proprietary, scalable fixture that could house them neatly in any store layout, and followed this with playful but clear product packaging that conveyed freshness and value. When it came to communicating the offer, we used the No Frills brand colours, bold text, and whole dollar price points to create a look that was aligned with the brand and store experience. The final result? An elevated bakery offering that has proved successful batch after batch.
